Weak ass story. shyt has been done a thousand times over :deadhorse:
:shaq2: so never bumped meek before and u never listened to "Tony story 1" to see how everything connects and Tony story is great by its self, so "who around you" alot of these songs have ties to his mixtapes, like the dudes he naming on who your around he been shouting out, making songs about and not they feel out, shyt teal personal, can't have been thru some real shyt to not feel that song, I can take most of yall dudes serious, most of yall clown ass nikkaz tho so I can't fault, blame it on yall old heads

99% of us have never robbed a drug dealer during a drug transaction but we all enjoy the song nikkas Bleed by Biggie. I can tell a good story telling track from a bad one.

In my opinion it's a solid album. It's nothing special, but it's definitely not trash and I can understand how die hard Meek fans will praise it. He stuck to his normal formula.

With that being said, I'm not a huge Meek fan, I like some of his music but I'm not crazy about the majority of his s***. He has less than a handful of flows and his content has no diversity to it.

I do understand his position in hip-hop right now though, he's the quintessential aggressive street rapper for the current generation of hip-hop fans.

Only stand out tracks to me are the Intro, although I wish there would've been some sort of transition from him spitting calm to completely spazzing out but I get what he was going for, and Traumatized, to me is a legitimate banger he showed some emotion on there.

Maybach Curtains, Amen, Young Kings, Who You're Around, Polo & Shell Tops, Real N***** Come First are the only other tracks I could ever picture myself even listening to again, and maybe Tony Story Pt. 2, but probably not.

For my taste in music I'll take Kendrick's album over this any day of the week, and I'm from Philly and have nothing but respect for Meek's hustle and current position in rap and life in general, but as an "older" hip-hop head this CD brought nothing new to the game. That wouldn't be a problem if the expectations weren't so high, but in Philly at least that's the case and I have to hold him to that.

i like meek, but this album was the definition of ehh. i know its been said but it sounds like a mixtape :yeshrug:

Agree breh, the album is bland and really average. Meek yelling for 60
minutes ain't a good look. Intro, Traumatize, M Curtains are good but other than that

It was actually better than I expected....

But after about 4-5 songs it gets a bit stale.

Traumatized and Tony Story 2 are the only unique/storytellin tracks.

Other than that like you said, its just His money, His Rolls Royce, His Hoes, His Ghost, His Haters.

I mean damn, dis ya debut dawg. You supposed to have madd stories to tell and shyt. I would expect an album like this about 3 albums in.

But I also think his album is better than alot of others that have dropped and is basically = GFID. I just think the timing was horrible. Its about 3 months too late and that single isn't good or buzzing

Im biased towards Meek, I'll always gives his tracks a spin.
Good to see lil dude from around the way go from a nappy headed young bull to a signed artist with TV appearances/radio play :ohlawd:

But idk if it'll get any rotation :sadcam:
