This is such a stupid thread. Tristan Thompson averaged like 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block coming off the bench as a rookie. Not great numbers but respectable for such a raw player. And you guys care calling him a reach and say that Cavaliers are regretting that pick?

Who exactly are all the future All Stars that Cleveland passed up on to take Thompson? Klay Thompson? Markief Morris? Kenneth Faried? GTFOH. Their production wasn't any better than Thompson's. The fact of the matter is that last year's draft was garbage outside of Kyrie Irving. The Cavaliers simply took an athletic young big man that they are hoping to develop.

Umm Shump is better than him and faried Is too so yea ..lower picks better value Tristan gonna be Another Hickson

These dumb nikkaz on here are impressed with him even more, just off the strength of the video of his s550 benz and iced out watch.

I would have took that deal in no time.Anthony Davis is going to be wack.I would have asked for Thomas too if I was the hornets. No question in my mind Cavs would have gave him up.

:why: @ these stupid ass franchises.

I can't wait for him to get the ROY and shut a lot of nikkas up. At this point it's become fashionable to say he will flop. You nikkas in for a real surprise!

Statistically Faried and Thompson had about the same type of rookie year. But didn't Faried play four years of college? Thompson only played one year and has more upside.

Thompson - 8.2ppg, 6.5rpg, 23mpg and a disgusting 43.9% from the field, since when do bigs shoot 43%?
Faried - 10.2ppg, 7.7rpg, 22mpg and shot 58% from the field

Klay Thompson finished the season averaging 18.1ppg, 3.2rpg and 3.0apg as a starter once Monta was traded. Meanwhile, the Cavs need a starting 2 guard, no?

And if the Cavs wanted to take a young big man, they should have taken the 7 footer from Lithuania, who is posting fantastic stats in a good league over in Europe.

Thompson has trouble finishing at the rim, Faried doesn't.

They did not have the same type of rookie year, one of them just averaged a double double in the playoffs against one of the best frontcourts in the NBA.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Let's be reality ...most mocks had Klay going in the teens. He should've gone a lot higher but that's easier to say after the fact.

This past rookie class has still not seen a summer league or a full training camp.

A couple of players had really good moments and have the potential to make this class look a lot better than most predicted.

Ya'll shytting on the Cavs taking Tristan....what about Kanter? Did D Will look like the #1 overall draft like people thought? Vesely?

Burks going before Marshon? There were a ton of questionable picks.

Give them time to prove themselves.

I don't expect much from Vessley he's an athlete who isn't that athletic a shooter who doesn't shoot that good. Kanter is solid and would of been great on the CAVS.
