And this is different since he at least for the finals twice.
Clyde requested a trade because they were starting to rebuild. But it was during the middle of the season when the Blazers were clearly out of the playoffs.
I don't have a problem with Dame requesting a trade, but the timing is horrible. Should have did it before the draft.

That was my impression as well. Tbh the whole loyalty stuff he’d been going on and on about on social media for the last couple years felt more passive aggressive than anything imo. So I wasn’t surprised by Portland’s response once he asked for the trade.
Apples to oranges but I thought the way CP3 handled getting shipped to OKC in ‘20 was a gold standard.
