Yes and the NBA is a business. It's getting the best value in return for a good asset. He signed that supermax and then started his BS. The GM should take his time until he gets a reasonable offer that fits their rebuilding roster.

If you look at the timeline he used that loyalty and I would never join a super team nonsense to get that big pay day. Once CJ was traded for a bag of chips and a diet Pepsi he should've known there was no chance of winning a title in Portland.

Guys ask for trades all the time, they don't necessarily go exactly where they want to go. We've also saw Kyrie ask out and demand the Lakers and get sent to Dallas. We also saw Kawhi get sent to Toronto. These guys don't always go to their #1 destination. Dame may find his way to Miami, but it's going to be really interesting to see how this comes to fruition.

Exactly, forgot about him. Dame wants out, and that's fine, Portland surely can trade him. When you make demands and ultimatums about only going to 1 team, that's when it's going to take some time.

I don’t recall him demanding to go to the Knicks …I don’t even recall him asking to be traded actually … nevertheless the Jazz did negotiate with New York and the Knicks simply didn’t want him enough to pay the price
