Absolutely the correct move. The idea that the organization have to sacrifice their trade haul just to make sure Dame goes to where he wants is retarded.

They already paid him hundreds of M's and put up with his passive aggressive bullshyt for years threatning to leave. If the Kyiv Caterpillars got the best package then send that mf to Ukraine :camby:
You’re technically right but not working with a legend in your franchise doesn’t look good to future players.

Do as you please but understand consequences follow.

Maybe but no all-star in their prime has ever voluntarily came to play for Portland. Dame spent years trying to recruit dudes to come play with him to no avail, so the idea that a Blazer boycott would happen is a bit hilarious

This will be a stain on the portland franchise if they dont trade him to Miami

This is what people don't get, if a superstar demands a destination and you don't oblige then good luck signing another superstar in the future. You have to cater to the players in order to look good to future signings. AD wouldn't go to Boston cuz of how they treated IT.

It would be a mark against them by any decent free agent, superstar or not. The last thing an organization wants is a bad rep among players.
Breh, we never get decent free agents unless we massively overpay.

Portland going to do whats best for their franchise. Dame better get ready to be sent to a team he doesnt want to go to. Should of did this shyt last trade deadline or years ago.

THEY HAD THE NUMBER 3 PICK...
A MAJOR TRADE CHIP TO GET
DAME SOME HELP
AND DECIDED TO DRAFT HIS
REPLACEMENT INSTEAD...

WHY WOULDNT HE WAIT
AND SEE WHAT WAS GONNA
HAPPEN WITH THE PICK/PLAYER
WHEN THE GM TOLD HIM
THEY WERE GONNA TRADE IT
FOR A STAR?

I could see a three team trade between Philly, Port, and NOLA.

Philly gets CJ, NOLA gets Lillard, Port gets Harden on a 1 year deal. Philly gets CJ on a two year deal.

NOLA got young players and draft capital assets that Portland want. Philly has to dump Harden for something of any value. Granted... I think Philly will be difficult and try to overreach on Harden value.
