If they are refusing to trade butler/bam they Clearly they need a 3rd team. If I’m the blazers I’m making heat take the grant contract while still giving up draft picks. Don’t even know if it’s possible because I believe grant can’t be traded until January.

AD had one year left on his deal, so he had leverage to force his way to the Lakers because most teams don’t want to give up a bunch of assets on a one year rental.
Dame has 4 years left on his deal and no NTC. This idea that Portland has no choice but to trade him for whatever scraps Miami offers is a bit ridiculous.
