So he’s not even in control of the selling it part? Damn :francis:

He wanted to auction it the first time...

And yall keep confusing the RD thing. Jay wanted Reasonable doubt from Dame in exchange for Roc a Wear. Dame said no. Jay went on to cash out Roc a Wear for 250 mil or something.

That had nothing to do with Roc A Fella records as a whole. He still owns his share. Jay just wanted RD out of all Dames share of the company

Won't be any profit in that liquidation because of the process, he'd been better off giving Jay a crazy number and waiting him out to leverage the nostalgia, Jay would have eventually gave him something in the neighborhood of the number.

I understand that. The article the stated that the Us Marshall will be in control of the sale of the shares. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t what Dame had in mind when he wanted to auction it off.

Man I’ve been saying this for years regarding Dame. My thing with Dame is the bad advice he’s contributed to the culture, how he’s convinced people that, yea, being a struggling boss is better than being part of something you don’t ‘own’

And there’s a ton of street raised nggas that think just like him. Won’t get a 9-5 bc ‘you gotta wear a tie’, or bc gasp you gotta work with white people. Or the romanticizing of running a business when you can end up working longer, harder, and make LESS money. But hey, you da boss :obama:

Sanford and Son came before Dame was Dame....Dame was in pampers and still crawling. Fred was committed to being a boss....Lamont even tried to work for the competition (Goldstein) for more pay at one point and could careless about the empire.

And in real life ethnic whites lived upstairs above they business to cut cost and be they own boss.

Dame just breaking the mold of black person get that good government job with benefits mold that you hear since childhood.

According to the court filing, Dame does not oppose the move. However, Jay-Z and Kareem "Biggs" Burke, who own the other two-thirds of Roc-a-Fella, have pushed back against the sale. Despite the opposition, the judge signed off on the order, allowing the sale to take place. Roc-a-Fella has 21 days from the date of the order to turn over a certificate representing Dame's ownership in the company. Dame has 10 days from the receipt

"Within 180 days of the U.S. Marshal’s receipt of the Dash Ownership Interest and any corresponding certificate, the Marshal shall sell the Dash Ownership Interest at public auction," the court filing reads.
Makes sense now. This is what Dame wanted to do in 2022 and this is what Jay-z sued him for and got it stopped. So now because of the defamation suite the judge has ordered the sale which jeopardises Jay-z's ruling and that's why he objected. Now Dame's stake can be sold to the highest bidder.

The highest bidder would still have issues, however, since as long as Biggs and Jay-z are around, they would need to deal with injunctions if they try to make money off the shares. Either way, it will either end up making Dame some extra money, or he may not get the amount he expected. We will know in a month.

Are you slow? Its not Reasonable Doubt, its rocafella records. He never sold his share. You confusing him selling Rocawear. Rocafella contains Kanyes catalogue...Jay Z's..Beans... all that shyt.

NAH THEY SOLD ALL OF THAT TO DEF JAM IN 04
THEN DEF JAM TURNED AROUND
AND GAVE JAY ALL OF HIS OWN ALBUMS BACK
WHEN HE BECAME PRESIDENT.

RD WAS THE ONLY ALBUM THEY DIDNT
DO ON DEF JAM WHICH IS WHY
BIGGS AND DAME STILL OWN THEIR SHARES.

JAY SOLELY OWNS EVERY JAY ALBUM
BUT RD
AND DEF JAM OWNS ALL THE OTHER
ROCA FELLA shyt.
