They might as well trade him or cut him.
If you're getting moved this late in the game, that's not a good look. It's loose loose when it comes to him being in Dallas beyond next season.
If he moves to safety and has a career year, they won't be able to afford to keep him.
If he has a subpar year, the won't keep him. Not to mention, he will have blown assignments that could cost them games.
If he aint good enough to start at corner then cut him or trade him. Either way you look at it he has to
