......since this is what the term meant in the ANE.

So, selling your fam into 'slavery' in the ANE was getting them a job for which they were paid.....which according to YOUR definition, is not 'slavery'.

According to that once you get a divorce you can never have sex again without it being a sin. Sex before marriage is a sin and of you marry again it's adultery which is a sin. You're in a lose lose situation
