The Easy Allies impressions mentioned there were a ton of bugs in the review version they were given and although none of them were game breaking they did mention they were so constant that it kept breaking immersion.

So the bugs and trans outrage are bringing the game's points down
Remove those factors and this is a 93-94+ metacritic game?

There is exactly one, Lev. I didn't know Lev was trans until after I beat the game
I assumed he (identifies as he) was a boy
Lev is a girl who identifies as and dresses like a boy
That's why his mom went crazy on him
