Wrong order. Cuban felt like Joe was mishandling his projects, so he wanted out. Cuban got a new deal, paid the fee for Fat Joe let him go and they parted amicably. Some time later, they were at a club and Joe & his mans spot Cuban and one of the other ones who Joe had beef with. Joe and the other dude have words, start fighting 1-on-1, then someone stole Cuban, so it becomes a 2-on-2 and in that process, Cuban gets his face slashed by Joe's man.

The money stolen, sleepin with Pun wife and other ish all came after.

I wasn't suggesting any particular order of events, just trying to separate what is known (cuban got shelved, him and Joe fell out, Cuban got buck 50d) from what's murky (allegations of money stolen, Puns wife)

Paperwork looks suspect AF. Joe's winning. Cuban ain't had a W in two decades. Of course he's going to do whatever he can to throw dirt. It's sad seeing grown men spending so much time trying to discredit former associates who went off to be mad successful, while they spent that same time losing. Only in Hip Hop, do these dudes think shyt like this would reverse someone else's fortune. Goes to show that losers never learn. Cuban is only blocking more blessings for himself, what little he has left. He's spent damn near 20 years doing shyt like this, and none of it has yet to bear any fruit for him.
