The Citi Custom Cash is 5% for $500 a month on groceries if you so choose. If all you're using it for is grocery stores that Amex might not be worth it for that extra 1% after the annual fee.American Express offers 6% cash back for Groceries.

Other free cards have that. That Amex is my most used card but between having the Chase Freedom, Discover It, and Citi Custom Cash I'm funding it harder to justify.True but they also offer 3% cashback on Transit and Gas.
You'll keep the payment history (for 10 years I think), charge cards don't normally count against score so there should be little if any change there.I have an AMEX Reserve, Gold and Platinum all acquired over time over the last 5-6 years. Balances on all are 0’d out, Feels dumb to have 3 cards and pay 3 separate annual fees. If I cancel the one w/ the lowest credit line (Platinum) would it affect my credit score negatively? If so I imagine only temporarily?
I would product change those to the Blue Cash Everyday and Cash Magnet cards. No annual fees and preserves the accounts.I have an AMEX Reserve, Gold and Platinum all acquired over time over the last 5-6 years. went thru the same, I always wanted platinum but dont travel enough to justify the rewards for the 700 annual feeJust copped the Amex Gold. I don't travel enough for platinum. Plus i get four complimentary lounge visits a yr
Up another $1250. I can't seem to get my Prime Rewards to budge thoughI probably mentioned it in the random thoughts thread. $1K CLI on my Quicksilver. It's slowly becoming a card I can rely on in a tight spot. I'll be happy if I can get it up to 5 figures of credit. The cash back feels like shyt but no annual fee is handy.
I heard you have to call them idk if you’re waiting for them to it automatically.Up another $1250. I can't seem to get my Prime Rewards to budge though
