I think Venture is a travel rewards card, so if you travel frequently it will be preferable. Otherwise, Quicksilver is an OK cash back card, although it seems like when you hit a certain threshold you can only put the money towards your statement. You should go for the "non One" version of the cards if your credit score is good enough.

I thought they were targeting the same segment of the market. Wouldn't you just be cannibalizing one of the cards?

What's popping brehs so I been perusing the thread and I'm getting back In to the credit card game after being MIA for like 10 years.. And after careful consideration I'm going to start with the chase freedom unlimited then a year later apply for the sapphire reserve. Appreciate all the knowledge and game being given out in the thread.

How often are people using rewards points, and how quickly are y'all racking them up?

I was saving all my rewards points up to get a PS5. I probably have about $250 worth but I think I'll cash them out and invest them or put them in a high yield savings account while I wait because I could be making more.

Great idea. Any savings money that will be sitting should ALWAYS be in at least a high yield savings. Have a emergency amount with your bank just so you can get to it instantly if something crazy happens. The rest should be in a high yield.

Credit score dropped a lot from all this holiday spending. Did the same last year but I was in a better spot now so it's still higher than what it dropped to last year. Just gotta use this next month to try and pay them down and get my credit back up to where it needs to be or higher by valentines day.

how long did it take you to get $250 in rewards and how much do you think you spent to get that much rewards? what high yields savings account do you recommend?

So guys, give me a hand here. I am in a position now to pay off my CC debt of 12k( personal and business) chase in business and Capital one Quiksilver.

Would you pay them off totally or just drop them under 10%. I need another car and I was thinking of briniging the score back up to 790+ so my rate on the car can be better.

What do you guys think ? All advice appreciated.

If you want it high as possible pay both the hoes off. Mine I jumped I think 10-15 pts at under 10% vs 0 balance across the board.
