Man fear mongering is a good career move at this point.
Which is why I don't take people like Eric Feigl-Ding seriously. Dude had 2k followers on social media prior to covid-19....now he has 600k and literally every post is doom and gloom. Never mind how many times he's wrong....thanks to social media, you can be loud, dumb and wrong and people love you for it.
People can spread misinformation with one post or Tweet, you can't really do that with facts. You gotta explain shyt. And sadly nobody has time for that these days.

If you say the scientists are fear mongering to boost their social profile and careers... What about the fact that world governments are shutting their borders?
Here's my simple honest take: If it was just folks getting on TV running their mouth trying to sell books or whatnot, I wouldn't believe a word out of their mouth. But when countries are willing to lose out on MONEY by closing borders (and yes, the border is only closed to southern Africa countries for now, but there's talk of border-closing expanding for other nations as well), then that's a signal to me that there's something serious going on.

we cannot, and will not, legislate our way out of this in america. fox news and twitter have ensured that. so unfortunately, this has become a fukked up combo of survival of the fittest, and natural selectioneven if they refuse the shot, the young and healthy mostly shake off the virus. the old and vulnerable have a free, safe, and effective vaccine, that's fully available for everyone. when Biden got to the point where everyone could get the shot, that WAS the policy victory. frankly, im not interested in forcing the shot into those who don't want it
so if you have a policy solution beyond this, then i'm all ears
i'm fully vaccinated, and i want everyone to get vaccinated. but im resolved to the reality of the situation
