Anyone know where I can get antibody testing??

I seriously think I had the virus back in very early January. I was in the Bay Area, around a lot of students who likely traveled back and forth to China. Was in the library a lot, around em, for hours at a time.

fukked me up, had a crazy fever. I vaguely remember it being at least 102, most likely mid- low grade. Couldn’t even sleep, sweating like a mf for the whole weekend. Chills every couple of seconds. Headache. Exhausted as hell, sinus pressure and everything. I was at the store and felt like I was gonna fall out. Hope I ain’t spread that shyt to anyone

I believe I lost my sense of smell a few weeks after, kept coming back I believe. And I had lagging throat issues, went to my doc and she said it was nothing. Prolly just a bad cold or something.

Can’t remember if I had a cough, damn they were testing for antibodies in my college back in March.

Shoulda got tested when they were still doing em. Will a normal COVID test show antibodies from months ago??

New coronavirus strain spreading in U.K. has key mutations, scientists say

LONDON -- British scientists are trying to establish whether the rapid spread in southern England of a new variant of the virus that causes COVID-19 is linked to key mutations they have detected in the strain,

The mutations include changes to the important "spike" protein that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus uses to infect human cells, a group of scientists tracking the genetics of the virus said, but it is not yet clear whether these are making it more infectious.

"Efforts are under way to confirm whether or not any of these mutations are contributing to increased transmission," the scientists, from the COVID-19 Genomics UK (COG-UK) Consortium, said in a statement.

The new variant, which U.K. scientists have named "VUI – 202012/01" includes a genetic mutation in the "spike" protein, which - in theory - could result in COVID-19 spreading more easily between people.

The British government on Monday cited a rise in new infections, which it said may be partly linked to the new variant, as it moved its capital city and many other areas into the highest tier of COVID-19 restrictions.

As of Dec. 13, 1,108 COVID-19 cases with the new variant had been identified, predominantly in the south and east of England, Public Health England said in a statement.

But there is currently no evidence that the variant is more likely to cause severe COVID-19 infections, the scientists said, or that it would render vaccines less effective.

In the case of SARS-CoV-2, these mutations are accumulating at a rate of around one to two mutations per month globally, according to the COG-UK genetics specialists.

3500 US deaths yesterday according to worldometer... that's 105,000 a month and fukking climbing :damn: nikka that's 1.2 million deaths a year on a straightline curve which we all know is only going up :damn:

It's entire states with less people than that

We reached 1 in 1000 people in America dying in less than a year. From COVID19 alone.

:ehh:
But not surprising though, I remember interview with head of Chinese CDC about their intention to produce their own M-RNA vaccine since it's easier to scale than inactivated vaccine and China have good cold chain network to distribute it across China. This is a deal between private companies to distribute it in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan but might also be part of strategy to obtain new vaccine technology since they have license to produce it in China.

If you did have it back in January, you don’t have antibodies anymore. They only last for like 4 months. No need for a test

I've been laid off from the airport but still have my travel privileges active. Brother wants me to fly in his girlfriend to visit for the holidays. I manned up and said no since ontario is under lockdown

My mom is like "oh. I don't think she'll bring the virus here."

I'm sure a lot of people said that shyt only for the exact opposite to happen.

My dad and I are the only 2 treating this damn thing seriously. Or at least trying to.

I'm about to be public enemy #1 in this household :lolbron: can't wait to see what her reaction is when I decide to not "participate" for the Christmas day gathering when the family comes over :lolbron:
