Regarding the real source of Covid-19, the conclusion by a team of American, British, and Australian researchers could not be more clear: “we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible…. Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus,” the virologists stated in a March 17 article published in the scientific journal Nature.

A group of 27 public health scientists from eight countries signed an open letter this March in the Lancet medical journal issuing support to scientists and health professionals in China and “strongly condemn[ing] conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.” The letter states that the scientific findings to date “overwhelmingly conclude that this coronavirus originated in wildlife, as have so many other emerging pathogens.”

Again, as I said, notice this "story" is never couched in scientific terms. Its presented with deniability baked in and only "us officials say".

But now the new line is that the unsaid implication of it being released by a lab being false, now its that its natural but it somehow slipped out of a lab to the nearby wet market. Its all nonsense.

We have further evidence the virus is more widespread than we initially thought which makes a concerning case for its virality but an optimistic one in terms of mortality.

The worst case scenarios, including death, are outliers. Things are not looking as bad as most people in this thread are making it out to be.. That's all I'm saying

For those that have mortgages and still can afford to pay....call and see if ur loan is a fed backed one. Most are. Ask for a forbearance...then after the 3 or 6 months are up ask for a loan mod. No affect to credit and great way to save 6 months mortgage.

Mortgage companies are noting people's credit reports that they asked for this. They aren't hitting them with late payment but the note alone could damage your credit.

Don't disagree, but I'm not going to just take obvious government lies either in exchange.

Sanction China and hold them to account. At most make it contingent they get rid of wet markets completely. In addition, they should also be facing consequences for how they have treated Africans during this situation. Unfortunately, I don't see majority white-run western countries doing that and black countries at this moment might not have the political clout to hold them accountable in the geopolitical sphere.

But, I've seen "legit" news media even just swallow government line without any critique or questioning when that is their job. This is how the media just swallowed the lies of Bush to get us into Iraq. You can hold justified disdain for China while calling bullshyt on your government where it applies
