I haven’t been on here in a while but had the task force updated their models again? The US is already at 42k deaths. Seems like they’ll definitely surpass 60k before August:jbhmm:

What is the death rate for yesterday and Sunday? Has it increased or decreased?

I did. Did you miss my post?

We have further evidence the virus is more widespread than we initially thought which makes a concerning case for its virality but an optimistic one in terms of mortality.

The worst case scenarios, including death, are outliers. Things are not looking as bad as most people in this thread are making it out to be.. That's all I'm saying
Then why are tests overwhelmingly negative?

It's not fear mongering when the rich and wealthy are staying home and want the unwashed masses to get back to work

You really think only the rich and wealthy want people to get back to work?

What are you even basing this post on?

I know plenty of people struggling to pay bills and itching to get back to work

Then why are tests overwhelmingly negative?

Well obviously only a fraction of the population is infected or has been at this stage but the difference between 0.5% and 5% is massive when evaluating the life threatening probability of individual cases

I’m tired of Information changing by the hour
:unimpressed:

Thread it a bit muddled I agree but we are getting enough info here to see through the mist. Mostly. It's getting harder as time passes though.

It's like the difference between physics ("science") at pre-school and physics at the cutting edge. In school they teach you science as if everything they are telling you is a certain fact. At the cutting edge, many things (and ultimately depending on findings everything) can be called into question. Things are viewed in terms of likelihood to be a true fact and everything is subject to future revision.

Unfortunately that cutting edge discovery process for covid19 is taking place in public right now and we are all being exposed to it.
