He had to do that because the federal government is literally stealing supplies from states, coincidently from states with governors that haven't sucked Trump's dikk 100%.

I'm very frustrated that the past few pressers I've watched, NO JOURNALISTS asked about the feds seizing supplies. Why the fukk is this not a top story?!

It seems like its a very evil and shrewd political move by the Trump administration where they have given states like Florida everything they need and then coming in and swiping supplies purchased by states in states he doesn't like and blaming the governors for the outcome.

Yesterday during that briefing they talked about how many testing centers there are and how they is evidence for massive testing available but this isn't the real story. What governors were saying is that yes there are enough places to tests but the places don't have the supplies. They go to these places they showed yesterday and they are told they can't run tests because they don't have enough supplies. States don't have the power to start implementing massive international supply chains to get these supplies. This is needed at the federal level but Trump is of the mind state, and Cuomo said based on his communication with Trump, that he has done enough and thinks after doing what he did, he is done. Its like he is lazy and doesn't understand the job is not over.

Which is what happens when someone whose smart idea of getting things done, is to bankrupt his company multiple times. Trump is simply doing what he's done with his business, and it's why financial institutions in America stopped giving him loans. He's not reliable and can't be trusted.

It's not? Every additional data we've been gathering indicates the infected death rate is orders of magnitude below what the initial prognostic was.

The initial impact is bad but things will get better and by the time any vaccine might come out we'll be largely immune to it already.

I read last week this shyt can affect other organs tho and I havent seen that debunked or anything yet. I dont want damaged organs friend :mjcry:

good news . my uncle is off the ventilator and recovering. he has to go through speech therapy and see a neurologist. i dont have a lot of details but the doctor gave him small doses hydroxychloroquine over the course of several days. that seemed to help him. still a risky medicine to use if yoy have underlying heart issues.

happy to hear he is doing well, but no the hydroxychloroquine is actually not helping him. We have been telling patients to refuse it to be part of our study and so far same results lol.

Now, is the time for you guys to treat him like a stroke patient. Do memory exercises for him. Ask the doctor for a CT head and CT chest for a follow up before discharge. See what he says. Those have been a great help to patients going home, as some developed blood clots all over the place. Have your uncle report and leg pain or swelling anywhere in the body. The metallic taste may go way once the liver recovers. Ask them for the liver function tests and write them down to see if they are going down.

Best of luck to your uncle and hope he recovers well

Do not reply to that Trump guy. He is here to sow discord.

Yes, Corona has about 10 strains in the US. We don't even know which strain is deadlier. We do not know which strain people may be immune too. The tests just check for the virus via PCR viral load. So you can also get false negative if you have a low viral count until it ramps up on you.

That virus affects all your organs and your brain. Even your blood composition. Some people have low platelets then they have a clot. This makes no sense, but this is what we are dealing with.

Let them take all kinds of risks. Just be careful breh.

thanks man. its ironic you brought up stroke because that is what we originally though of after hearing he needed speech therapy.

i hate to think they used it on him to experiment. he is mentally handicapped and we do not have guardianship.. they may have saw this and felt they could get away with experimental treatments

CFR (Case fatality rate) or really IFR (Infection fatality rate) is levels lower than anyone projected.

In Santa Clara, CL 2.5-4.2% have been tested seropositive. 50-85x more people than official numbers are estimated to have been infected.

Oxford Research numbers are at 0.1-0.36% IFR right now

LA county released numbers today that up to 4% of population has been infected. A 0.13-0.26% fatality rate

Netherlands found 3% of blood sampled had antibodies

32% of 200 sampled on the street in Chelsea (Boston) tested seropositive

New York is doing their own survey at the moment.

I think it's not unlikely up to 10% of population might have been infected already. I'll let you run the numbers on that.

Whatever you might have read last week highlights work case scenarios affecting an infinitely slim percentage of the population.

Don't buy into the fearmongering

Another story on Feds stealing hospital supplies. Like what the fukk? If the press fails to ask Trump about this today, I'm going to lose it. shyt is so crazy :mindblown:
States and Hospitals Are Essentially Smuggling PPE Because They’re Afraid the Feds Will Seize It

Despite reassurances from the federal government that they’ve worked to properly supply medical institutions with life-saving personal protective equipment (PPE), hospital administrators across the country have been forced to take extraordinary measures to avoid having their PPE purchases seized by federal agents for re-distribution.

In Illinois, Gov J.B Pritzker (D) reportedly arranged for secret private charter jet to import millions of masks and gloves from China in order to avoid the administration’s efforts to confiscate desperately needed PPE, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The invoices, which totaled $888,275, were listed as “aircraft charter flight to Shanghai, China for COVID-19 response.”

Then that is not "fear-mongering" then is it dummy?

That is the progression of science. You yourself said "last week" f*ckwit.

Too many dummies on here.... :hhh: :picard:

The progression of science is seperate from sensational predictions or headlines that make the news nowadays.

Why you so mad though?

I am trying to help you e-grow.

If something changed since last week offer it up as good faith evidence.

/the-end

I did. Did you miss my post?

We have further evidence the virus is more widespread than we initially thought which makes a concerning case for its virality but an optimistic one in terms of mortality.

The worst case scenarios, including death, are outliers. Things are not looking as bad as most people in this thread are making it out to be.. That's all I'm saying

What you said just shifts a huge probability matrix.

:ufdup:Believe it or not most rational people in this thread are able to read your "update" and factor it into their assessment of the situation.

"fear-mongering" is charged language and brings a separate and distinct narrative into what you posted.

A separate and unnecessary one at the that.

Post your evidence and argue the merits of that. Leave all the charged narratives out of the science because it just muddies the waters.

It doesn't serve the purpose of fact discovery to attach politics to updates.

i agree with most of this post. but im curious what do you feel do from here. open evrything and stay vigilant?

or get tests first then open

in a perfect world. if we can test for strains that woudl be perfect so we know how serious and how to prepare, as we know there are at least 8 maybe 30 strains. and we know at least one is more deadly than the other.

i just want to be careful of still comparing this to the flu because people want to minimize everything .
