Is the estimate really 160 mil? Unbelievable

The 160 million death are based on numbers of scientific paperes that were released over the past few days.

Estimates go from 40% to 70% of the world population get infected, death rate is between 2 to 3% at the moment. Calculated with 70% of 7.7 billion people world wide, that's 160 million death

Officials in Washington state say a person has died of COVID-19, the first such death in the United States.

The new virus is a member of the coronavirus family and is a close cousin to the SARS and MERS viruses that have caused outbreaks in the past. It can cause fever, coughing, wheezing and pneumonia.

Health officials think it spreads mainly from droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes, similar to how the flu spreads.
