Yeah it is like the movie elevates the lie about Dent over all other lies for some reason.
Didn't they 'lie to the city' when Gordon got shot instead of the mayor and they went around acting like Gordon was dead? They even have a scene in the movie where cops tell Gordon's wife and kid he's dead. Why is that just necessary to win and propping up Dent is this huge L? Shyt is kinda just convoluted the more I think about it.
This wasn't just lying it was covering for a murderer that had tried to kill his son, so I can see why Gordon felt some kinda way about it. Still wasn't much of a loss since the murderer was dead and not getting away with anything.
its actually not that complicated, just try to think a little more with that little brain of yours and youll get there buddy
No need to be a dikk about it.

Batman's very existence proves the three of them were willing to work outside the law and compromise for what they saw as the greater good. Lying about Dent didn't really have a negative impact since Bane would have released the prisoners anyway and regular people weren't on his side because of the reveal. As for Robin being disappointed, by the end of the movie he came to understand why they did it and quit the police force because he could do more good without the rules holding him back.

Which is why I put more of that on the failing of the third movie rather than the success of the 2nd because you're right.

Yeah it was a ridiculous plot point and Nolan is notorious for that. Stupid af especially when it's revealed that he was driving the armored truck the whole time like it was a plan to catch the Joker when it reality the Joker already set it up to catch dent or kill him cuz If his plan went as designed they both would've died from the bazooka blast batman intercepted. Nolan tried to get too cute and somehow made it work.

Yeah, and I agree Nolan pulled it off. While watching especially the first time none of this really crosses your mind. It's just knit picking after multiple views, I like this movie a lot.

Exactly. The coolness factor and heath performance smoke screen the plot holes. Nolan provides presentation over anything else like most of his films. Especially inception which really goes overboard but his presentation of what u think u are seeing is his talent.

Majority if not all action films the good guy wins, that ain't saying nothing new. What separates films like die hard, predator, terminator from winter soldier is better action, more tension, more thrilling type of film making. Yeah you know the good guy will win, but it's not so telegraphed. Maybe I'm just losing interest in comic book films. Marvel films at least.

well you know cap is going to survive because it's a franchise and you know he still has other movies to appear in.

but the movie was still filled with tension. the threats felt real, the stakes felt real. the action scenes have weight to them.

He went out like a G, died cause he was willing to let the masses know the truth behind the lies, even tho he hated all of em.
Wasn't that kind of a smoke screen? I think he was so traumatized by what Ozy had done he wanted to die. Ozy like checkmated his entire existence. Ozy did the most good with one crazy act.

He left saying he was going to tell everybody but I don't think he knew what to do with himself. He left Ozymandias' lair without Night Owl, where the hell was he going?!

Don't get it twisted Watchmen the Director's Cut is my favorite super hero movie. I LOVE all the characters, it's just that deep you can examine it from multiple angles.

What's up with Cap anyway? He's got like a huge death wish, he tried to kill himself at the end of both of his movies. lol He's like the Rorschach of the MCU.

Yeah they kinda hinted at it in Age of Ultron with the dream sequence I'm sure they'll expand on it in Civil War.
Yeah, I loved when Ultron pulled his card. He cannot live without war and is miserable when he isn't kicking someone's ass. He is in psychological pain with all he has been through.
