Apparently you can't read, your loss.

I'm done here
:camby:

i read exactly what you said, apparently you think describing a problem is the same thing as a proposal to fix said problem and you also think we should fix social problems, got it

I know a lot of charter schools aren't exactly better than public schools but I don't get the :cape: for these public schools.

lol Black Agenda Report goes hard with the hyperbole. While the charter school system is full of flaws, I think the underlying idea of allowing parents to have more power, options, and choice is a good one. The problem is there is a lot of corporatism that has become apart of the charter school movement, and so you end up replacing one group of rent seekers ( teachers unions) with another group of rent seekers ( subsidized corporations).

I mean look at this article...our education system sucks. Any attempt by Booker (however disingenuous you may think it is) to improve it is immediately attacked as far-right lunatic fringe politics. I hate articles like this. I'm amazed they didn't mention Wall street.

Btw, charter schools can issue tax-exempt bonds.

Because the Teachers Union represents the status quo and keeping in place an archaic system. That's why. Change and accountability isnt something that sits well with a party that receives votes on keeping an out of date system in place....children be damned.

I SUSPECT OPPONENTS OF PRIVATIZATION HAVE STATISTICS THAT SHOW IT DOESN'T PRODUCE BETTER RESULTS, BROTHER! A RICH PRIVATE SCHOOL WOULD LOOK A LOT DIFFERENT THAN A McSCHOOL MARKETED TO CONSERVATIVE MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES, DUDE!
dumbs kids are dumb kids. Charters don't change that.

You're honestly not even worth talking to on this subject because you've shown over and over you don't understand it.

Hell you can't even get your head around the two posts I just made.

You're probably a nice guy, but you're a really ignorant man.

The beef with unions is hilarious. I guess if you can't have it, we all can't have it.

Bankrupting municipalities and putting the burden on the private sector middle class(who's taken a harder hit than anyone)...yeah who cares.

Free healthcare, defined pension plans, cant get fired all in exchange for votes....yeah why would we have beef with municipal unions?

The cities signed these contracts though. This is the politicians fault,
