I think one thing to consider is a lot of people have gotten it and recovered. Some got it and didn’t even know. That is what these people are hanging onto. And for the most part, if thry do get it, they’ll be fine. It’s like people who commit crime. Thry don’t expect to get caught that’s why thry commit the crime. Many get away with it while many do not.
I’m sure they see people who had a mild strain of it and think “it’s nothing”. But if thry had a parent hooked up to a ventilator then they’d change their tune.
