honestly that's the best thing media has done breh. better safe then sorry i feel. if media didn't take this seriously then people won't take it seriously.
and it's not the death i'm worried about. it's the incompetence of the government. we always react and it's too late. i mean we've been hearing about coronavirus since early january breh. we didn't have a test kit ready in hand. we prolly gonna rush the vaccine too.
and this thing really hasn't slowed down yet. over 3000 people are dead globally and it's just getting started in here. people without the symptom can spread the virus. world wide i have to assume it's closer to 500k because just think about it. north korea reporting 0? japan only with 300 something? that's laughable. and china completely shut down the virus? give me a break.
and just look at how south korea has dealt with the problem. they are systematic and they get the job done. and their president is even worse than friggin trump because he is a yes man to Xi and didn't travel ban. they are still letting chinese in last i checked. yet even with their hands tied behind the back they dealt the problems like pros. we are friggin amateurs and it's a global embarrassment.
and imagine some super virus 10 times the strength comes to us in the future. we are all fukked because the government is inept.
This is inevitable, bats make up like 1 in 4 mammals on this planet. They carry over 400 plus corona strains of the viruses. Can name a slew number of other animals that carry a number of viruses.
This outbreak and few others fall squarely on China and those damn exotic night markets. Certain rich people in China love eating those exotic animals. Guangzhou, where SARS came from, has one of these night markets been there a few times.
After they found SARS in I believe in the civet cat they closed the market and banned eating them. They closed off the night market but after some rich people got it reopened like 6 months to a year later.
If they reopen these markets again and I feel they most certainly will, one can expect this kind of outbreaks every 5 to 10 years.
Some of those markets need to be closed for good.
