See they should've sent all the old and at-risk people home. Meanwhile, the rest of the population is out busy infecting themselves and having fun. No way they'll come in contact with the at-risk people at any point in time, they're at home.

If everyone was home, the risk would be the same and no one would be having fun. Where's the fun in that?!

If this lasts longer than a few weeks the economic damage is going to be insane.

it’s too late for this now, but if it were me, I would have shut down travel from China in January, and if the virus seeped in, I’d lock down all nursing homes and retirement communities and generally tell old people to stay home. This isn’t airborne, you have to touch a surface or get coughed on, if you stay home or even go out with a mask you’re not getting it

Yup. Travel shoulda been blocked ages ago. Was easy to have travel bans before, but when they actually had a good reason for one, they flinched.

Instead we have 10 hour shoulder to shoulder waits at O'hare today. Just staggering how poorly this is all being handled
