I guess but they’re putting lives in danger. They don’t care about their staff or their customers.

They are fukked either way.
:comeon: so everyone whos trying to open their business so they dont fail permanently, doesnt care about their staff or their customers. they're doing it out of desperation, not indifference

i dont have the answers, its a lose/lose situation :yeshrug: im just not sure how much longer they'll get people to listen to it. personally im not going out so its whatever to me

Democratic Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said he received a message calling him a “piece of shyt n----” and saying “You should swing from a tree, I’m not threatening it, but would love to see it,” as residents express outrage over his new mandate requiring people to wear masks to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas (D) on Monday posted a message he received to his Facebook page using a racial slur against him and saying he should “hang from a tree” after he required the wearing of masks in public.

Since this pandemic has started I have been keeping a mental note of how many stupid people I'm around. This is also including family.

At this rate I'm going to end up being a loner.

I realized this a long time ago, breh the world is a lonely place. Most people are just too self centered, yet they have an engraved fear of missing out on doing something.

been doing the exact same thing, people are really about themselves and don’t care who they harm. We need this wake up call.

It’s not forever It should just be understood that it is temporary until the end of the year, cases, flatten or a vaccine comes through. This is what we pay taxes for, so the government can support citizens when they don’t have the means.
The government ain’t supporting the citizens like it should. Businesses wouldn’t have a desire to open if they were able to sustain itself and not have small business loans get gobbled up by Fortune 500 companies.

It'll really come to a point in time where Covid-19 just becomes like the flu that we have to deal with.

That's been a failed strategy so far and will continue to be as long as America is so stubborn.

Everybody knows the economy can't stay closed forever, but the issue was never reopening. It was getting people acclimated to the 'new normal.' But because Americans are idiots and wanted to go back to life like nothing happened and it was February again we're just gonna go through the cycle of closing, reopening, cases spike, closing again.

Europe trusts China more then the United States.

Gonna catch the rona and that new swine flu.

QUEENS NY
Let's keep it a brick. If and when NYC and some of the other states/cities that are deemed a "success" start to reopen we're gonna see cases rise again. There is nothing material that has changed about the virus. I think all the shyt slinging is counter-productive.

Part of it issue is the state and the rush to get back to normal but part of it is people as well. I was in NYC last weekend helping family move out and in BK I saw enough people moving around like there wasn't a virus.

No economy can remain shut down forever. That is just a fact.

It'll really come to a point in time where Covid-19 just becomes like the flu that we have to deal with. That is until there's a vaccine.
There is no dealing with this like it's the flu. Hospitals will be overran because of covid. People with non covid related ailments will be afraid to go seek medical help. First responders will ran into the ground physically and mentally. Many will catch it themselves. People will become too sick to work and too scared to shop. I'm a NYC firemen I witnessed this shyt first hand. One guy I work with has a nervous breakdown from all the CPR. Another guy 30 years old, was out 6 weeks, even after the covid cleared up he got winded walking around his block, winded fukking walking. I've done CPR on people afraid to tell us their dead relative had it out of fear we wouldn't help. I've heard stories of guys doing CPR on the dead father in front of their teenager children and hearing someone coughing up a lung in another room only to find out thats the mom and she has the covid even worse than dead dad did. I was working 24 hours on 24 hours off because so many guys I worked with got it. THIS shyt AINT THE fukkING FLU.

This country could've dealt with this like a mature adult. We could've closed down like NY, not politicize wearing a fukking mask, and we could've, gotten back to some semblance of fukking normalcy. Yes there would be a lot of pain, yes a lot of businesses would go under, but we could've if contained it somewhat. But No, this is 'Murica, some pain isn't good enough, we wanna go out like Pesci at the end of casino. The death and financial devastation is going to be a lot worse than if we just closed the fukk down like we should've. People don't realize it, it's already over, the country is completely fukked now because people wanted to treat this like the fukking flu.

Who the fukk is going to the Movie theater... There are no new movies

People will rewatch something just to get out of the house.

People in New York flocked to some parking lot, turned drive in movie theater to watch Ferris Buellers Day Off.

A movie they show on TBS or some channel every other weekend.

The “lockdowns” were only to help the hospitals not go over capacity. That is it. We did nothing to stop the virus spread.
