You still haven't given me anything Obama has done in Civil Rights.
Obamacare
You still haven't given me anything Obama has done in Civil Rights.
Obamacare
You mean the healthcare bill that has been out there since the 1990's. The same bill that Romney had as his healthcare.
Next....give me something else.
Doesn't matter how long it been out there or who endorsed it. The fact is it deals with civil rights for the people and Obama got it passed. In fact healthcare reform has been talked about for the last 50 years, and while Obamacare isn't perfect, it is the most that anyone has ever been able to get done with regards to healthcare in this country.
Obamacare
let's keep it 100% funky
if this thread were about the election, you'd be noting that Obamacare is a mirror image of romneycare
and you'd also note that Obamacare is actually an approved transplant of the republican health care idea put forth in the 90s
So you think cause Obama got a old bill passed that means Civil Rights? So if Romney who had the same which was Romneycare and it passed would it be Civil Rights? Forcing People to take a crappy highly expensive healthcare isn't civil rights. Universal Healthcare is.
The Health Insurance and Big Pharma benefit from Obamacare...that alone tells you something. Maybe you are just that naive.
What does any of that have to do with the fact that Obamacare has helped plenty of black people?
Yeah, I'm sure MLK's Bible was just the closest one laying around within easy reach and they just used it out of convenience...
I see the inauguration has the bamboozelement factor at high levels. West's points were completely clear and accessible. Yall can call him a hater, but I'd like to see someone dispute anything he said here.
Great post.
Dr. West makes white people uncomfortable and angry.
And he drops knowledge every chance he gets.
Obama doesn't give a fukk about our struggle.
But all the c00ns will continue to praise Obama regardless of the facts
because it wasn't, his policy
oh and obamacare didn't just help out black people, it helped out the nation when over 70% of workers get their health insurance through their company
hence why Obamacare was a national mandate during the second biggest financial disaster of our countries history
Like I said Obamacare care isn't perfect, but it is way more than anybody before him has been able to do. And yes big pharma benefits from Obamacare but they'ed benefit from universal healthcare as well. Also this plan overwhelmingly benefits minorities. So yes it is a civil rights win.
Some loopholes would be closed, but as any other industry that gets its money from the goverment, they would have found a way to make all of that back and then some.
Universal Healthcare would stop all the PPO, out of net and referels. Big Pharma wouldn't make alot of money since Universal H.C. would allow those who want to choose doctors that provide alternative medicine than B.P.
Obama using an old Republican bill is a Civil Rights...to Meech but how do you explain the Millions of Minorities without jobs?
The question was about civil rights. Civil rights pertain to all people not just black people. Also Obamacare benefits those that make less the most, minorites are more likely to be making less and/or living in poverty therefore Obamacare benefits minorites the most. Also changes were made to strengthen Medicare, which again helps minorites profusely.
And to your comment about the mandate and the recession. What does any of that have to do with the fact that Obamcare has helped black folks?
