To be honest, Smiley, Sharpton, West, and more or less every other so-called prominent black leader or academic have embarrassed themselves during the Obama administration.

As for MLK. If MLK was alive then he would've mobilized people of color and the youth to show up in the 2010 mid-term elections and you never would've had the current gridlock and gerrymandering. Then he'd hold Obama to the fire.

#1 I'm not a Hillary supporter.

#2 You must not be a student of history. After Black men got the vote, women gained suffrage. After a Black president it's inevitable that we'll get a woman president. If Hillary runs she will win. There's precedent.

#3 Dr. West most certainly has fallen from grace because he's in no position to be playing any sort of levels of Blackness card on anyone. West teaches at primarily wealthy & White institutions and is prone to extending Bill Maher the courtesy of calling him 'brother' Bill on multiple occasions. He's the most respected crab in the barrel.

#4 The average Black person is proud of Obama for cracking a color barrier even if they dont agree with his policies. West stands outside of this consensus and instead chooses to undermine his brother using derogatory racial language that has no place in civilized debate coming from someone steeped in academia.

#5 fukk McCain and Romney. Its not about disagreeing with Obama, its about the way you choose to express your views. If Obama is a house ******, what type of ****** is Cornel West? What type of ****** are you? This is a low place to take academic thought to and it doesnt hold up upon inspection and dissection. shyt's light. It's a weak argument that comes from a more legitimate place on street corners than from professors at Princeton & Harvard.
:wow:

Do you honestly believe the country will elect another democrat in 2016? And

:russ: At teaching and earning degrees at some of the most prestigious colleges in the world being a negative to you.

Flip that around, why would the country elect a republican. The US is becoming less conservative not more, and the republican party hasn't done shyt for those spanish votes esse. The chicken will come home to roost when those high amount of hispanic people in swing states vote democrat again in 2016.

that's the biggest difference. LOTS OF TALK from all minority leaders, very little action. It seams the mode of activism now comes via words alone. I'm not going to pretend to know what MLK would be thinking but something tells me there were people like AL and West in his camps when he was alive, only they were't the prominent ones.

Is there ONE "minority leader" anyone is proud of 100%? I can't think of one.

Republican mayors and governors are vary popular. Chris Christie is going to be a huge problem for Hillary Clinton. In more was then one :lolbron:... okay bad joke but if recent history has taught us anything it's that the American people like a party change after 8 years of one party control.

I can't think of one either but I do know Obama was never a minority leader. He had a chance as a community organizer in the chi where he could of made real change but opted to choose career in politics. Could you imagine 2004 Obama marching on Washington today for Jobs, Equal rights, and health care :whoo:.

I hate it when he lumps black people with other groups as if we can't survive without attaching our ourselves to other minorities.

Both Michael Dysons and Cornell west are just intellectual masturbators. They talk a good talk for the ppl who aren't used to hearing big words but they never outline solutions directly to black ppl. Al Sharpton,Obama and Jesse Jackson are all the same way.

A bunch of poverty Pimps.

Keep black people complaining about racism like helpless victims.

But you think an old shrewd bytch with a husband that was impeached is going to look better to the American people? Chris Christie has done a good job of making his image as a purple politician that can work with both sides and has a track record of governing. He isn't that much of an under dog breh

That purple bullshyt is nice for national elections but it gets you sent home early in a Republican primary where the diehard right wing nuts carry the day. So in Ryder for Christie to secure the nomination he is going to have to convincingly pivot to the right which I don't see him being very good at.
I am still not convinced he even gets the nomination or even wins many of the primaries.

He is going to eat those teabaggers for breakfast. He is the only one with governing experience and shows he can work with both sides and still keep his core conservative beliefs. The republican party is going to do a swift pivot to the center right in 2016 getting a lot of independents to vote for them. I could be wrong but I think 2016 is the year of the center right politician

Edit: but your right the primaries are going to be more tough then the general election for him
