. We haven't seen anything like this since 2019 Kawhi and no one was praising the Raptors team at that time, the narrative was that Kawhi put the team on his back and refused to let them lose.

:childplease:

People were mad praising that Raptors team at the time. They went 19-4 without Kawhi that year and had won 59 games the year before he joined. Kawhi instead of DeFrozen (and getting to dodge KD and Bron) is just what pushed them over the top.

You surround yourself with an environment of shytty hot takes so your own reactions seem normal.

Butler is having an amazing playoffs. He's been quiet in a few games but he's exploded to heights far beyond what Bron has done this year. But you're silly devaluing his team's play when they're hitting threes and playing great team defence.

They are better when Jimmy is off the floor and it's been like that all year. Jimmy is just their clutch guy and he gets them timely offense which is a value for sure. He's always extremely productive but if you look at his on and off. He's not on pair with other stars in their prime in the league. It's because Miami gets production but adjusting. That's where they do their work. They adjust better than anyone. It's what they do. They are the Shang Tsung of NBA teams. No one else does what they do. Toronto used to do this well but they don't have Jimmy to close shyt out.

Fam, there's no discussion to be had that says the Heat are better without Jimmy on the floor. None.

It's like that stat that had the Spurs better without Kawhi on the floor and their defense was better without him.

3pt shooting unlocks everything in today's NBA if you don't have it you're playing with one hand tied behind your back. Biggest front office failure of the LeBron/Lakers era has been the inability to build a roster with even above average 3pt shooting. Miami was bad during the regular season, even worse than the Lakers, but they've been elite in the playoffs. If you can do that, you can play with anyone., if you can't :francis:
I agree with this but you can't just get guys who can shoot but can't defend. Any NBA player that can shoot and also defend cost 15+ million. The Lakers been on a budget, they just never have the money.

They gotta get a starting PG who can score. FVV, Kyrie, shyt, even old ass CP3 would help. Maybe the Lakers can get Kobe Bufkin. Lakers need to trade Beasley and Mo Bamba ASAP. Get you a rotation player that cost money but adds value.

Spurs were much better with Kawhi than without Kawhi in every category but Kawhi in Toronto was similar to Jimmy in Miami. That's actually a good comp for Jimmy. Toronto Kawhi

Why would you mention the regular season when I specifically stated the playoffs which is why I brought up Kawhi's 2019 run. The Raptors completely choked that Sixers series, FVV was unplayable, Siakam was getting abused by Embiid which caused him to have a couple of flagrant fouls and Kyle was having his yearly meltdown. Kawhi refused for them to lose hence why that run was memorable and why he gets love in Toronto t'ill this day. No one ever questioned the Raptors in the regular season without Kawhi, they proved it before and after him. This is strictly playoffs. Try again

I don't know wtf I'm reading but it seems to me like this entire shyt is showing Jimmy is a top 5 player.

I completely agree but our 2 best players are:

AD who won't shoot them and can't make them

Bron who is on a Westbrook like 3 pt run right now

If your 2 highest usage players aren't perimeter threats, you're done. Even Jokic is hitting 3s. He has more than both of them combined. There's no other team remaining with that type of shot profile.

Um, Miami? Bam and Jimmy? You just say shyt without thinking it through.

Bron made as many threes tonight as Bam and Jimmy combined made in the last two series put together. Jimmy is 3-14 from three since the 2nd round started. In five of the last seven games, he hasn't made any threes at all.

That's where scouting and player development comes into play. Look at Miami, Duncan Robinson is the only role player making $15 million and he was out of the rotation for much of the year.

It's exactly why people don't f*ck with (the majority of) Laker fans. The lion's share of them are fair-weather fans only rooting when their winning.
:mjtf:
nikkas got a right to criticize the team
@2Quik4UHoes as far as I know still is a fan and roots for them like I would do but we got a right to call shyt like it is
fukk outta here nikka

Duncan can't play in all matchups but for the ones he can play in, he's difficult to deal with. Miami understands what the NBA is all about. Matchups
