I’m always gonna hate that he had to change the Drumwork beat.

with me I think I also have myself to blame also for not being that thrilled with this. Most of this album I’ve heard already damn near 2 years ago.
I mean that's half on us and half on him. I mean yeah...we clicked the button and listened. But at the same time, he put it out there for cats to check out. It takes 2 to tango. If people like your music and you let them into the recording process so they can hear music early, it's kind of crazy to expect them to be curious.

I know some people just say no and don't do it, but I'm just saying it's not all on us.

I'm 100% never listening to snippets early again. Tana Talk 3 and Bo Jackson I think hit so hard for me on a first listen because I didn't get spoiled by those early.

I'm struggling a bit too and it's wack because I love so much about the album. Tracks 6-12 are either perfect or close to it for me, and I wouldn't change anything there. But 1-5? Besides Piano Love, I can never listen to the first 5 tracks without wanting to skip some or even more than half of the song.

That's 4 joints with heavy portions skipped. That's a lot out of a 12 song album.

But god damn the best 3 or 4 songs on here are legit maybe his best 3 or 4 songs ever.

This album is super uneven IMO compared to recent Griselda releases like Bo Jackson and Tana Talk 3 as far as sequencing and consistent production and features goes. But it still has some of Conway's best material ever and for that alone I respect it like crazy.

But yeah this album has its dull moments.
Lock and load and drum work are dope. Conway annihlates drum work wish I nvr heard the og. What’s fukked up is I think it’s the same sample but they weren’t allowed to release it on the og pitch. I think alc should’ve also had more tracks, looking at tt4 that shyt is a win win situation. Lulu 2 fully produced by uncle al and I’m sure reject 3 are gona be daringer and alc heavy. Lulu 2 would be a dope album. Alc is goat along with Dre rza premo havoc & Pete. I actually replaced alc with Pete rock for my top 5. This run he’s on is some everlasting shyt

That beat would def be one of the best beats as a “hard banger” on the album if not changed. Not saying there wasn’t beats on that equal level on the album just that the drumwork on the album isn’t touching the og. Even though I fukk with the album one it sounds basic compared to the og and too repetitive just a 1 bar loop with the same two piano chords with no change. That was one that should’ve been a priority to clear. The price was prolly too high on some rip off shyt

It’s crazy how this era is. Dudes give away their best tracks for free over X amount of years before their album drop. So much dope content just lost in the shuffle. I just think of how some of our goats albums would turn out in this era. Imagine All Eyez on Me being a mixtape leading up to his death row debut. Illmatic a sampler. Reasonable Doubt being jay debut mixtape.

I hate this new era of the way music is put out. shyt rarely feels special at all.

rant over

:ehh:

Kinda forgettable. I really like half of the songs and thought the other half sucked. Very uneven

Too many unnecessary industry features. Ross, Wayne, T.I., Beans, and Jill Scott were not needed for this album.

One reason why TT4 is so tough is cause he kept it all in house.

It sucks he didn't add that Freddie Gibbs song to this and didn't go more in that direction a little. This album to me feels like something is missing. It's not bad but not good either and certainly not worth all the waiting.

I know Conway worked hard and I'm sure this is a lesson for him but with his big label debut I would have liked better from him. He released better music for free.

New Interview, Con finally made it

Sounds like he was dissatisfied with all his contracts even his Griselda one. They asked if he could trust West though he let it be known that they are family at the end of the day, he said he couldn't trust him. Seems like he is just disappointed with the business and really depressed. I feel bad for him.

Business side of music always messes up everything. But i think they still on good terms. That's his family he said it himself.
