That's not true, didn't he drop an album the same week as this lol
He dropped an album called La Maquina in April 2021 and he dropped GDMM in March of 2022. No solo albums in between.

Edit: Oh, that little Greetings Earthlings mixtape with the gunshots and DJ drops all over it? That was like a little mixtape appetizer to try and get people excited for the GDMM album, but half of the songs on there had all been previously released (Sign Language, Fredo, Hot, etc have been out for a good 2 years or so.) It's not even mixed or mastered and you can only find it on DatPiff so it didn't come to mind.

Edit 2: I still really contend that calling Greetings Earthlings a true "solo project" is a reach. It didn't even get a sticky here, and it's understandable. Was all raps over other people's beats. Are the G-Unit mixtapes leading up to Beg For Mercy official G-Unit albums? In my mind they aren't.

Lol there is a funny part where they point him out for saying he didn't resale sneakers with proof he did.

Dope interview so far. I really hope this entire thing becomes the turning point for brehs deciding not to sign with Shady. No disrespect to Em, good dude etc etc etc. After 50, they've only had one successful artist (Yelawolf), and even he ended up being disgruntled by the end.

Conway/Gunn/Benny all fell in love with that label money and I understand it. Having a travel and food budget is nice. But I'd much rather control my own career and release shyt when I want. Paying for hotel rooms as an independent rapper sucks but end of the day...maybe it makes you better at spending and saving money.

He's had at least 7 projects since 2020. With most artist you're lucky to get an album every 2-3 years.
I know he’s had a lot. And I know he drops more than most artist. I do think the matter statement isn’t as true anymore in the steaming era. Especially since covid. Most artists are dropping annually. A few like Kendrick make people wait multiple years but now days they’re in the minority.

All that said I do miss the days of more infrequent releases. I think once a year is perfect.
