if you look beyond the retarded "blah blah blah cac" analysis a lot of you morons are trying to push, you can see that connor is actually a really talented fighter. he's certainly not as accomplished or has fought the caliber of guys aldo has...but in terms of skills, particularly striking...his stand-up... he's fukking good. his footwork and movement, his angles, the way he sets up his left straight, etc. if you really watch his fights and break shyt down, it's really impressive.

that's not to say he'll beat jose though. i have aldo winning...i think aldo can beat him standing, still...but unless his ego gets in the way, i think he'll be wrestling mcgregor more than his usual opponents.

Aldo is not taking this fight to the ground. He has too much pride and belief in his striking.

That fight is from almost 5 years ago. I'm sure his ground game has improved in leaps and bounds since then. How it stacks up to the division's elite grapplers remains to be seen.

Tenderize the front leg with low kicks.. Shoot in the later rounds. Aldo's roots are bjj but I cant even remember him being on his back.

He's not the great white hope, he's the great green hope. UFC needs a marketable fighter besides Rousey, McGregor has a strong fan base that could become loyal fans if he wins. Aldo chin is crazy plus a great boxer/kickboxer grappler Aldo got this fight. But McGregor has good striking nobody can take that from him

you will be surprised how stuck in their ways mma fighters are. Jake shields being the biggest example. Dude has elementary school level striking plus reacts poorly when hit in any capacity and hasn't gotten better in years. Its been at least 10 years by this point.. Great grappler horrible striker.
