He's fantastic. I'm sure after predicting the result last night with creepy level accuracy and his already ridiculous confidence that now he probably thinks he can walk on water. Eventually he will lose, everyone does. So to those on here that hate him, it'll be a crazy fall from grace and you'll enjoy it when he does lose.
A lot of ppl have broken him down as a fighter but what interests me going forward is really two things.
1. Short term...clearly the wrestling. I think with him talking of going to 155, fighters like Khabib or even fighters like Frankie at 145 can make his life a living hell. He's shown that he can scramble to hit feet quickly from takedowns, but Chad Mendes was winning that fight on the scorecards until he got put to sleep. If Conor could have Chuck Liddell level takedown defense hen he could cause serious problems for almost anyone at 145 and 155 (although I still think fighters like RDA, Khabib, Ferguson, and Cowboy would take his lunch money). His BJJ is also very underrated (especially his top game) and I hope to see more of it, because people don't think it's very good.
2. Long term...he has a tendency to rely on his iron chin to get him through fights. I'm interested to see if this wears on him over time or if it ends up not making much of a difference. I think he would play it a little smarter to protect himself a bit more than he does, but it may turn out to not be a very big deal for him.
