its not bad. make sure you're saving some money if you gonna do it. No point in renting a private room that defeats the whole point plus its an upcharge. just save up and get a hotel.
I used to do it often. ONLY international. US hostels are a waste of space. if u do get the shared room. try to do coed. you may be able to help yourself to the local delicacies if you know what i mean... the heauxs. i stayed in one with a see thru shower.. woke up to a pawg that left the door open staring at me.. i slid in. if you're not single, pass.
unless you're in Japan, they have genuinely great hostels that you will enjoy even in solitude. if not, you gonna be in there jacking off in the darkness next to an old divorced woman watching Living Single on her Dell laptop. If you're self conscious, again, pass. u gotta be a certain type of dude to enjoy it.
