did a Five Bloods and Dead Presidents double.

Five Bloods, loved the opening 15/20 then kind of lost interest till about and hour in then from there it was great.
thought the cast had good chemistry and the Oscar talk around Lindo's performance has merit.

Dead Presidents holds up. not as re-watchable as other movies from its era but its an important and good movie.
also has some of the greatest collection of songs selected for a movie.

Yeah da 5 bloods kind of lost me around that point also I didn't get real invested again til dude stepped on the landmine

Good legal drama and corruption movie. Something about the grittiness, rawness, non politically correct era of the mid-90s makes movies like this appealing. The lawyer (Andy Garcia) slaps his client dead across the face for being high during his case intake .

Nicole Beharie should really be a much bigger star...Hollywood is sleeping on her.

I think that’s part of the reason why - she doesn’t get around with the Hollywood execs like that if you I know what I mean. Which I respect her for- great actress and she’s grounded from what I’ve seen. I’m really getting tired of seeing Lupita, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer And Tiffany Haddish’s non-acting and over the top cringe comedy in every thing. We need versatility. She would have been perfect for that series, The Outsider. Nicole needs deserves that push, highly underrated. I liked her in that Sleepy Hallow series on fox.
