movie felt a lil quick paced at times and that made the middle of it feel like a collection of scenes rather than following naturally but the detail in the heist along with the score is great. Overall this was good and you can see in his later films how Mann grew & I also spotted some shoutouts from The Sopranos to this too.

Eva Green shows off a powerhouse performance as a French (!) astronaut in this ode to female astronauts. She is selected for space flight to the ISS, but the training prep and long journey itself means inevitable separation from her daughter. The film explores the struggle between the stoic dedication to space flight training and her maternal instinct kicking in, while also trying to prove her worth in the male dominated field. The movie juggles these topics well but unfortunately can't really find its way to a good conclusion and stumbles into a typical and disappointing movie trap for the ending. The result is an unsatisfying conclusion to an otherwise intriguing film.

MOPE...man, this movie is one of the most depressingly cringey movies I have watched in ages. A really good performance by Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (from the UK show MISFITS) as the lead character though.

did a Five Bloods and Dead Presidents double.

Five Bloods, loved the opening 15/20 then kind of lost interest till about and hour in then from there it was great.
thought the cast had good chemistry and the Oscar talk around Lindo's performance has merit.

Dead Presidents holds up. not as re-watchable as other movies from its era but its an important and good movie.
also has some of the greatest collection of songs selected for a movie.

This one’s a sleeper & definitely worth watching. The main characters are great

I was interested in this, didn't pull me in fast enuff..

Might give it a 2nd go.
