Watched this on Hulu. I remember seeing her growing up, but didn't really know what she was famous for aside from the look. Movie is pretty hokey with a lot of sex jokes and puns, but I respect the cleavage :ehh: and the fact she went from a showgirl to syndicated tv show host to starring in her own movie.

Watched this on Amazon. It was cool, the type of movie I'm glad I didn't go to the show for and just watched it at home. Eclectic cast for sure.

first off the trailer lied, it makes it seem like its a movie about the night club scene in New York during the 80s, it aint. This was Michael J. fox attempt to do something a tad more serious, its a good performance but half hearted anyway. Phoebe cates is in this movie for no reason, she's barely in it. They could have casted a random runaway model that spoke well in this joint, but I like looking at Phoebe Cates , especially this late in her career. Ill give it a 3/5

i don't know what this movie was about. Hi jinks for the sake of Hi jinks? John Candy lets the other comedians get off in the first act (including a scene with Cybil Shepard wearing a black nightie that no one is going to complain about), then does his thing in the second act, he wasn't his usual charming funny self, it runs a bit long. by the time the third act comes around, and you figure out who done it and who gets the money, you won't care any more, but who could ever forget that nightgown 3/5

I think that’s part of the reason why - she doesn’t get around with the Hollywood execs like that if you I know what I mean. Which I respect her for- great actress and she’s grounded from what I’ve seen. I’m really getting tired of seeing Lupita, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer And Tiffany Haddish’s non-acting and over the top cringe comedy in every thing. We need versatility. She would have been perfect for that series, The Outsider. Nicole needs deserves that push, highly underrated. I liked her in that Sleepy Hallow series on fox.
i bought that second season dvd becuase of her, I haven't watch one episode to this day, its just sitting in a drawer

Watched this on tv yesterday and damn :patrice::skip::beli:
I hadnt seen this movie in like 11 years and since I a) watched goldeneye a couple weeks ago which is still :ohlawd: and b) brosnan is my favorite bond/THE person whose portrayal I think of first when I hear the name James Bond I was looking forward to see it.
After watching it again the movie really had potential and Brosnan was still dope as Bond but stuff like the invisible car :francis:, the ending with the plane/helicopter :why: and of course, worst of all that whole sequence were he gets chased by the satelite and surfs on ice water on a fukking door with some of the worst cgi I ever witnessed in a A list blockbuster :mjcry::snoop::snoop::snoop: make this so laughable at times its shameful. Worst of all I liked the villains and the setting, especially something like the ice palace & island as a place was a dope idea. Halle Berry and Ms Frost were also dope but that whole cheesy, over the top goofiness pushes this more into the terrain of bad sci-fi with horrible effects :shaq2:

Rosamund Pike came a long way from that role. :wow:

And I thought the henchman with the diamonds in his face was a cool idea, dude deserved to be in a better movie.

This shyt right here is like a movie adaptation of COD: Modern Warfare except somehow with even less interesting characters. The true story tells the tale of the deathliest American outpost in Afghanistan, which was set up in the worst possible strategic position (a valley surrounded by mountain ridges). The soldiers are shot at daily by the Taliban and improving contact with the locals becomes hard with rotating commanders applying different strategies. Hell breaks loose when the Taliban launch an enormous attack.

It's probably because they stuck true to the real soldiers that most of the characters end up flat and largely sounding the same (a bunch of macho 'hooah' shyttalkers). For all of its action it doesn't really do much with it, there is some solid suspense her and there but the movie also telegraphs its moments a lot and with so much interchangeable characters it's hard to care for these no-names (who are all named explicitly in the hope you might remember). The only thing I got from this movie is that Scott Eastwood starts to look more and more like his dad with every passing day. Also in a small role is Milo Gibson (Mel's son) but he looks a lot less like his dad.

Wasn't bad but I expected a little more out of this. I could definitely see the layers of the film, but I didn't care enough to go beyond the surface. :francis:

This, however, was a fun ride :russ:

Lots of this would be chastised today though, and that final frame is :scust:

the budget was small but you cant tell by the look of it. all the sets and props are top notch. acting is good throughout. pacing is just fine. now i see why this is a cult classic. nice cameos from rock musicians. blu ray transfer was perfect

An absolutely abysmal film. Irredeemably awful. From the song on, it's just trash.
