just watched All Day and a Night on netflix. If like they tried to do a lot with a story that was very simple. Or who ever edited this just made it flow all the way wrong.

NYC and FBA Riverboat Retaliation
Whose brave enough to watch this with me-
The film, which stars Keegan Connor Tracy (Bates Motel), Sean Rogerson (Grave Encounters), Jett Klyne (The Boy), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and Stephen McHattie (Pontypool), is the story of Elizabeth, a young mother who begins to fear her introverted son’s imaginary friend, Z, may actually be terrifyingly real.

Them last 10 minutes hit me like a brick. That was too real. :mjcry:

Thought it was dope how Spike injected post-9/11 NYC into the story as well and not have it come across as some patriotic Oscar bait. It actually was a character here and reflected how vulnerable the entire country was at the time. Flash forward to now and seeing it again tonight gave me chills.

Oh, and how could I forget...

Looking lovely as always :noah:

The cinematography while at the club almost made me want to run Belly back. All of the cast played their parts perfectly and I'm surprised I haven't seen Pepper in more roles like this. This was another gem from 2002 and one of Spike's best films ever to me.

having not seen the shorter cut that was edited by Cassavetes himself, I can see why one was made. Even though the club scenes are well shot, they drag on, & don't really add much. Interested in seeing the shorter more to the point cut.

The surreal visuals in this are stunning. Didn't surprise me at all when I found out Jon Brion was behind the score. I swear he knocks it out the park everytime. Them signature uplifting, melancholic notes brought shades of Punch-Drunk Love at times and added so much to the film. Was actually gonna watch Synecdoche, NY after this, but I ain't tryna be too depressed for the day.

I’m going to ride this out and finish it up - I think ep 2 was a slow filler but the premise in Ep 3 picks up- the main character, tech visuals and storyline are growing on me.

I'm going to try again sometime this week. MAYBE. I wanna get through Clone Wars and finally watch the newest movie.
