shyt got mad extra scenes and dialogue and shyt.
Pretty much everything is extended.
When hes fighting the japanese cats they shove mad swords into him!

I'm not exactly sure if I'm rocking with the twist. Everything at the house was plausible but the ride up to and especially the "confrontation" at the greenhouse is just straight up lying to the viewer. Like Heavy Rain levels of lying (which was ironically French as well and I'm sure at the very least took inspiration from the the gas station "evasion" scene).
Ellen Degeneres daughter was a looker but I'm not sure if that's enough to give this a pass.

So im hearing this was john woos darkest film and the most emotionally wrenching, i didn't think so. The torture scene in the POW camp didn't unnerve me in any way, mainly because i couldn't stand the Frank character. They tried to make him the heart of the film but i just found him to be that goofy borderline retarded comic relief character you see in other HK action flicks. I thought the backdrop of the Vietnam war was cool. I really dug the whole mid act shootout/action sequence, the part with the switchblade being tossed across the room in slow mo into a guys neck was beautiful. I usually watch john woo movies for emotional displays of honor and loyalty with existential dialog intercut with brutal scenes of bloodshed, and i didn't really get any of that here.
I looked up this song, i got it stuck in my head because they play a bootleg version of it throughout the movie.
