The Thing 2011 is actually a direct prequel to The Thing 1982. Remember how the movie starts with the chopper pursuing the dog? That's how The Thing 2011 ends, which leads directly into the start of Carpenter's The Thing. The Thing was actually a remake of 1951's The Thing From Another World. That movie was what Lindsey Wallace was watching in the original Halloween.

Watched this on HBO Max. Definitely took some turns I wasn't expecting . Salute to Edgar Wright for doing something that felt different than his other movies, at least to me.

I actually finished this before it hit Netflix and Askeladd might be the best written characters I've seen in a v long time.

I got Craig 1A on my Bond list, but none of the subsequent films ever measured up to Casino Royale (GOAT Bond film). Martin Campbell should have directed the whole slate of films.

I think they juuussst missed the mark trying to modernize Bond and soften his edges in this film, but I'll never love another Bond girl like Vesper Lynd.

Also, Billie Eilish did her thing on the theme song.
