I miss this Sofia. The soundtrack by Air absolutely made the film for me, to go along with that melancholic atmosphere.

I don’t know why I had such high hopes for ‘On the Rocks’. Her filmography has been on a slippery slope since Lost in Translation IMO. I was so pumped to hear her muse in Bill Murray was co-starring and got giddy seeing that A24 ‘Seal of Quality’. The film still shares a similar charm like her other works, but man it just left me so underwhelmed in the end. I think mainly due in part to that writing. Sigh.....that’s still my girl though.

Pretty entertaining and funnier than I expected . It was dope to see some actual battle rappers in this, and thought her experiences with the kids she was teaching and the homeless guy were

great movie. inspired by a true story but ultimately is false in some important ways. still worthwhile as an anti-death penalty movie. also very edgy for its time
