How insanely hypocritical is this. You absolutely refuse to accept socialism as a possibility even though capitalism is destroying the world and you have no pathway to stop it, but when someone holds a different position than you on socialism, rather than debating them on policy you just attack the very idea that they refuse to accept your worldview. I'm willing to try MANY different means of halting our unsustainable destruction of the world. I've just spent long enough studying the issue to see that capitalism can't do it, by its very nature.

OP asked centrists to sell the ideology, and I asked several times including you directly what the single best defense of centrism so far in this thread has been. I thought it was self-evident that centrists would be proud of and want to defend their policies rather than thinking that attacking progressives was the best defense of centrism. Apparently I was wrong.

If there was a thread asking me to defend socialism, I would speak directly about which socialist policies I found most vital and why I felt that way. Why is it different for centrists?

Says the person who is literally engaging based on senseless insults. I quite regularly post on issues that aren't even "arguments" at all, I quite regularly write solely for informative or inspirational purposes alone. And when I do engage I try as hard as I can to engage with logic, facts, and specific policies, arguing the issue rather than solely attacking character. When I do address the other party, I work on speaking directly on their behavior in the thread or factual statements about their positions, not making ambiguous generalized slander or unsubstantiated attempts at mind-reading.

Despite my aggressive posting style and refusal to try to curry favor with other posters, there are literally dozens of comments on HL, TLR, and the Coliseum of the type, "I don't agree with a lot of his takes but I really respect him as a poster". It's one of the main reasons I won POTY. So sorry if I don't take your slander seriously. You should really look in a mirror and ask yourself what your most positive contributions to this forum have been after 35,000+ posts in just five years.

Not having TV or playing any video/computer games of any type, as well as posting on social media and using Youtube very sparingly, I almost certainly have less screen time than most folk here despite posting on this forum way too much. And wtf does "avoiding MSM" have anything to do with these posts? You're flailing.

So do you see any pathway to avoid massive environmental devastation in this century that will create an existential crisis (or perhaps several) for modern society? And do you see any way to turn around the continued intensification of wealth disparities which will only make life for the poor (especially the poor black and brown communities) that much more devastating during that crisis as ecosystems and climate as we know it continue to collapse?

If you have a plan, what is it? And if you don't have a plan, why are you so spiteful towards others who are actually trying to do something?

That's idiocy. Why would they selectively not count Covid deaths due to preexisting conditions - don't you realized how badly a policy like that could be abused to fudge the numbers? And what impact would it have anyway - do you think Florida's old folk had cancer 5x as often as the old folk in all the blue states?

Cancer rates should be roughly even across states. They would have literally zero impact on that chart. If vaccination, masking, and other blue state measures are ineffective, then why the fukk were folk dying in Florida at a rate at least 500% higher? And that is BEFORE you factor in the inevitable red state undercounts from reduced testing and government pressure.
