one of the primary catalysts for me was the media I was taking in. From podcasts, to books, to articles...I was subjected to a consistent stream of info making it plainly clear that if you don't make much money and don't eat healthy (i didnt for both) you're projected to die several decades earlier than everyone else . Emphasis of healthy diets and lifestyles....
Then there's the corporate imposed "culture" of over constant consumption. Where consuming is the ultimate act of human agency and success... even beyond food... jus buying all kinds of shyt we don't need because its available and we have the money... excess low brow media etc etc... i had to deliberately instill in myself the concept of consuming less. And it's ongoing as we're continually encouraged to consume more through every medium we encounter. Thats a destructive psychology ...its a basis for poor health among other things
