I think whats happened is that they didn't expect Sammy story to get over and catch fire. So now they trying to tag Cody with Sammy to get the rub off him and its coming across as a bit of forced.

But there’s a small vocal minority of smart fans online that live in a bubble and desperately want their fantasy booking to become reality
