I mean, the Elite were so stuck on themselves they couldn't see that THEY could have been even bigger than they were by feuding with him. That feud would have done huge money and could have further cemented/made AEW if they handled it right especially with Omega vs Punk. Has to be one of the biggest dropped balls in wrestling history.
The Bucks strike me as guys who'd be fine leaving money off the table to not work with Punk. A true representative of their late millennial/gen z fanbase that believe prioritize peace and happiness over working a job you hate regardless of how much money you're making :heh:

These weak mfs still blaming Punk for all the company's woes :heh:

Between Wack Perry and QT, Punk is 2 for 2 when not letting comes to not letting stupid shyt on Collision :bryan:

I understand your point of view, but according to this article HHH was involved in some capacity.

Plus wasn't John Cena involved in getting Alex Riley and someone else fired.

This isn't the last time something like this will happen. WWE has been doing this for years and they're doing just fine.
I definitely see your point. I think that's less formal than whatever Danielson is doing, but I see how it might be hard to argue that a top guy having the power to get someone fired even if he isn't formally in an office position is that far off.

I still think the issue is Danielson having a formal position versus Cena just being a top guy and going to Vince because Vince is the guy we know is making that final call, no matter what. But if you think it's not far off enough to really matter, I can get where you're coming from.

question to be honest. its like dudes are mad that TK/BD fired him but wanted him on WWE after the brawl out.
most recent issue he was fired because tony khan felt "threatened" because punk "lunged" at him. The domino that caused all that is the issue he had with the Elite. This lead to WWE signing him.

I know but the WWE stans are mad at TK and BD for letting him go which is what they wanted since Brawl Out. No matter how he left he left and either side.

Just because Dragon was heading up the committee doesnt mean he himself supported the recommendation to terminate. In a lot of cases the vote is majority based and private. A responsible committee knows to support the majority publicly regardless of how they personally feel

I can’t see that man seriously saying “yeah I think you should fire CM Punk”. I could see a lot of “I see what you mean”s and “I understand”s coming out of his mouth.
