Put it on my family the response is
"He was a kid, he didn't know any better" or some logic leap. The boy knew what real guns do, and I'm sure he heard bout people getting shot up by cops for doing far less.
Buyin a young boy a toy gun is the equivalent to buyin a young girl a dildo. It's just not appropriate, imo

senior officer didn't shoot because he isn't a fukking impulsive p*ssy like that rookie cop was. He didn't feel threatened, thats why he didn't shoot. This is why all police should be required to wear go pro cameras while on duty

I'm with you 100% on the cameras, as they don't hesitate to blow cash on shyt to terrorize innocent community members with. However, it is presumptuous to say it was experience, rather than a million other reasons. The whole exchange could have taken place in 15 seconds or 5.
I don't know. when I was a kid I was taught not to be suspicious or be aggressive around police. but the first time I got caught jaywalking by a thirsty cop my first response was to run away from him and I was 12 at the time. I ended up getting arrested

is wrong with some of y'all, 12 is a child plain and simple. Its some people who don't mature and get common sense until they are 30. Hell you see them post on here. I honestly think some of you even remember your thought process as a child.
First reaction was probably to show them it wasn't real. Natural impulse to reach and show them, like kids do. Just because kids know more, and are exposed to more these days doesn't change the mental maturity. Its easy to say what you wouldn't have done as an adult, you are still applying your level (or lack there of) of common sense to the situation.
