MATW, AEOM and 7TD are absolute classics.

Re AEOM....I've always struggled with the suggestion theres too much filler. As some have mentioned, the second disk is more west coast so ultimately that's where the division starts. Second CD is of very high quality. When I see someone say Rather be ya is filler.....I know that's just a personal taste. I couldn't disagree more, but that's opinion.

Ultimately if someone asked me "do I wish it was one disk of the 14 or so best tracks " I'd say hell no! If I did, I would have been done that shyt already :pachaha:

As for kayne:yeshrug:. I'm stuck between zero and 1. Putting my personal distaste for the man to one side, I think I'd have to say CD is a classic. I take no pleasure in saying this.

@Inspect Her Deck I like what your doing wit these coli classics, good threads (missed the other 2). Only suggestion I'd have is to just do one artist at a time, rather than two together. Both of these artists specifically will draw enough responses for a healthy debate (or all out war).

Can't talk about Kanye because I have yet to listen to a full album but I gave 3 to Pac.

MATW, AEOM and 7DT. MATW and 7DT should be cobsidered classics for everyone imo and AEOM only Pac fans call it a classic.
:dwillhuh:
Neither of them have any classics to me. :manny: I know that's a contrarian position.

thanks bro. But honestly, it's good to knock out multiple artists with one stone, as I did in the Rakim and Black Star thread (you may have seen it or not). That one went really well but perhaps me picking two big artists in one thread was the problem. I could have done Pac + Digable Planets and there wouldn't be so much hostility.

thanks for the suggestion.

I think the voting has been pretty spot on so far. :yeshrug:
I wanted Rakim to get that third classic, but I understand why Let the Rhythm didn't get the nod.
Pac having three classics was a foregone conclusion for me.
I am a little surprised Kanye is nowhere near a classic. :ohhh:

I couldn't envisage a situation whereby in these threads particularly, with stricter classic constructions, Pac would have more classics than Jay and Rakim. Maybe just me but I thought one of Pac's albums would be knocked off, you know there's always 1 out of 3 contended classics that gets shafted (like TBA for Jay and Let the Rhythm for Rakim).

PLUS with Ye having 0 (deserves at least 1 imo), I'm questioning the validity of this voting. But I can't do anything but accept it tbh.

See, I'm the opposite. Jay having more classics than Pac would make me question the validity of the polls :manny:

Jay has 1 classic album in my opinion (RD), but i can understand why people would say BP is classic. What's the third? The Black Album ..... I would respectfully strongly disagree. But hey, that's opinions.

I'm interested to see how these polls play out.

The sample in "What'z Ya Phone #" is actually pretty creative. It's one of Johnny J's best beats too imo and Pac absolutely shreds it; his flow was impeccable on that track. The three minute sex skit at the end is awkward though and ultimately brings down the song.

----

@StillNotSoft A Richie Rich and 2Pac collaboration is classic stuff. "Ain't Hard 2 Find" is another classic record too, especially in the Bay Area.

I love what's ya phone number, I always have

But then again I love the Time

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Dope thread. I don't see how you leave the trinity of MATW, AEOM, and 7DT out of the classics category. Those are the quintessential Pac albums. For Ye, CD gets the nod but those fukking skits are cringeworthy. LR is a good album but ain't a classic for me.

real talk - all jokes aside - keep it 100

do you REALLY think pac was a better mc then ((murder ma$e))

:francis:

all jokes aside? murda mase was a great spitter, and I hate mase...I hated his album, his stupid face all that, but the boy could spit

but my criteria is based on artistry and song making

That's why id rather listen to snoop than jadakiss, fabulous etc

What bullshyt wont @kingofnyc believe when it fits his narrative, and never ending hate mission of Pac:jbhmm:

Somebody saying that bullshyt of album Yeezus reminded them of S4MN should've been the first clue,if not that the last paragraph with Jay-Z's response:mjlol:

Jay-Z, who collaborated with Kanye on their joint studio album Watch the Throne had this to say about the controversy:

“You know I love Kanye. He’s my boy. But that’s messed up, man. He shouldn’t be throwin’ those rabbit punched down low on 2Pac.”
