Man they just took some land from the Vice President. The vice President is beefing with the President because the current President basically stole the election and made a deal with the guy that did win it to basically give him the presidency next time (in '22) of course that fukks the Veep who thought he'd take over so they're taxing the fukk out of him.

Anybody can get it in Africa, You're political connects have to be air tight and or so valuable that to fukk you wouldn't be worth it.

This is partially correct. Let me just spoiler this....

Uhuru brought in Ruto (Deputy President) as a way to consolidate votes from the Rift Valley area. However, Ruto got ambitious and started eyeing the Presidency.

This has caused a faction in the ruling party with one faction supporting Uhuru (son of the first President of Kenya and current President) and the other faction supporting Ruto (the deputy president). The country since its inception has been ruled by dynasties. Basically, it's been ruled by the same three families. Where you are incorrect is that they want Raila Odinga (the person who lost against Uhuru) to be the next President. The deal that you are referring to is just another means of consolidation of power. This was to ensure that people from Western Kenya (where Raila is from) support whoever Uhuru handpicks in the next election. The person that they are pushing to succeed Uhuru is Gideon Moi, son of the former President, Daniel arap Moi. Ruto in essence is a non-establishment candidate. He is an outsider, and if he gains the Presidency it will have ramifications on the dynasties that have been controlling Kenya for decades.

Okay... I kinda take back what I said. You seem to know what you talking about. I been to Ethiopia and it would be HARD af for the average ADOS to navigate but Botswana doesn't seem to bad. :whoo: Who is that Black man btw? And btw what African countries have you visited?

Botswana is mad small only about 2 million people and change. The GDP is like 36 billion and the per capita is like 16,000. On paper the country is low key rich but that's on paper.

The funny thing is Africa is Africa is low key expensive for things that are imported.

let’s say you wanted a place in Dar in Oyster bay (the rich part) in a condo over looking the port with a backup generator you’re gonna pay around 7 to 8 hundred a month for that. I know you could a similar place in Cali Colombia for 5 or less obviously you won’t be near a beach in Cali but housing and electricity is cheaper because more money is flowing so people can afford to pay for some nice which drives costs down.

because the TZ shilling is so weak and you can only withdraw about 200 max from most ATM’s there’s usually not any money in the ATM’s on Friday afternoon. Most places either only take cash or have a cash discount so you want to buy say a PlayStation you’re walking around with a million shillings like your pocket has the mumps
Ehh.... I've been researching and I've seen many affordable places around Oyster Bay. Still not sold on Tanzania being more expensive than South Africa. And I already know about how expensive imports are. Imports in general are very expensive especially in Latin America. As for a Playstaion? That is not my concern when looking for a place overseas. Plus like I said I don't plan on relinquishing my USA citizenship.[/QUOTE]

I feel you breh I'm just giving you on the ground information. I don't fukk with games like that either, I had a PS4 that I gave away then I ended up buying one, YOU WILL HAVE A LOT OF TIME ON YOUR HANDS!!!! You will watch tons of Netflix you will play video games.

You could go either way You could get a stately Wayne Manor in Mitocheni or a condo in Oyster bay. If I had to choose I'd go with the Condo in Oyster bay. Why because you have to think of Africa as the hood so a place will look good but will not have shyt you expect like a hook up for a washing machine, or your garbage collector will be a random dude with a truck who comes whenever he feels like it. If you miss him you'll be at the mercy of anybody who's willing to pick up your trash.

It's a lot of little things you don't think about. The condo will more likely be straight especially if you have a backup generator.

I've always said that all Nigeria needs is a good ruler then it would be a top 20 economy and a powerhouse.

...Republics suck.
This is true. It's almost like they're trying to not blow up. If they didn't steal so much shyt would poppin'. Same thing for Angola all that Oil and Diamonds and the Dos Santos family stole all that money, Like I said I could see taking a little off the top but they stole more than half the money that the country generated.

One last thing. I met a white dude in Ocho Rios who was an unemployed Ad exec. He said that he was serially unemployed and when he was unemployed instead of staying in New York he used to bug out in Jamaica and chase Black women. He said it was way cheaper than being in New York.

White people aren't smarter than Black people but they do think outside of the box and take risks. When the shyt doesn't work it seems dumb when it works they look like geniuses. There's a lot of brehs over 40 or 50 years old that lost their jobs. shyt is gonna be bad until there's a vaccine. It might make sense for brehs without a lot of debt or personal entanglements to take a trip somewhere instead of paying rent and increasing debt. There's plenty of places in the states and abroad where you can get a decent place for 4 to 5 hundred bucks a month or less.

To be fair most people just complain and complain and never come up with any solutions.
Then when you give them solutions they're not willing to die for it.....well guess what the other side has tanks. When the rara starts we mostly fall back. Cant get change like that.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If African countries had/have leaders like the ones that lead Botswana, the whole continent would be balling and popping.

Anyone that knows the history of the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa & Fulani people knows that ‘nigeria’ as a country was never and will work. It was a forced marriage of completely different tribes by the British just so it would be easier to control & ultimately milk the region for its resources. Plus they favored the North because they were easier to control which created the political & economic imbalance that ultimately led to the civil war in 1967. These same issues still exist today. Until Biafra succeeds Nigeria that country is cursed forever

Well to keep things simple...

Some African countries are an amalgamation of differing tribes which were forced together by the colonialists and more often than not, they supported one tribe over others to promote their (usually pro-European) agendas. This directly resulted in many civil wars and ethnic conflicts on the continent throughout the 20th century and in some instances the effects are still being felt today. The tribes that were favored are still economic and political beneficiaries of what happened. Classic divide and conquer tactics. However I feel like the sentiments are slowly getting phased out with every new generation.
Yeah it's just going to take a long time but I'm hopeful it'll happen. People have to get tired and wake up sometime.

The younger African generation are at least waking up to tribalism.

I’m really not a fan of how most people talk about conflict in the African continent. Note I specifically said “continent” b/c that’s part of the problem.

It’s the second largest CONTINENT on the planet. (Did you know Europeans maps used to draw it as smaller than other countries to diminish it in the global perspective?)

Yet in spite of its size, there is always a curious way people talk about Africans. They speak about them with what I refer to as an assumed hyperhomogeneity. (Yes I made up a word)

Basically people oversimplify Africans and lump them into one big group and derisively claim that they should all just get along b/c they Africans. But we don’t do this to ANY other culture.

Europeans are all white. I couldn’t tell a Bosnian from a Russian from an Irishman from a Scot. These people all look alike and have had millennia’s of wars, conflicts, battles, skirmishes.
Nobody blinks an eye.

But if an African country has a problem everybody trips over themselves to talk about tribalism and too separate. But that’s because these ARE separate nations and ethnic groups. With their own languages, traditions and beliefs. So any solutions are going to have to attend to that reality and be mutually beneficial for all groups represented in their countries.

Also, we need to be more honest about the role of the West in the continued destabilization of African countries for the sole purpose of making sure we have a fresh cup of coffee ang the latest IPhone 36.

Otherwise, I just hate the Africa poverty porn talks where people sit and act like the continent is one small country filled with backward people who can’t get right. That narrative ignores a lot of real problems.

A famous Nigerian Instagram celebrity has been arrested in Dubai on multiple fraud charges.

Raymond Abbas, better known as Hushpuppi, was arrested by Dubai Police on June 10.

The 38-year-old was referred to the Dubai public prosecution and is currently being questioned by prosecutors at the Bur Dubai section.

The prosecutors have charged him for “obtaining money from others through fraudulent means.”

Security officers in the emirate arrested Mr Abbas and 12 others for online fraud that targets companies and individuals.

Raymond Igbalodely AKA HushPuppi, who is a Dubai-based flamboyant Nigerian real estate developer and social media celeb, has been reportedly arrested in Dubai after a joint operation between Interpol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over million-dollar fraud allegations.

The fraud reportedly involved money laundering worth $35 million (AED 128,554,300), relating to ventilators used for COVID-19 patients.

According to online sources, the Dubai-based personality was allegedly arrested alongside his compatriot Mr Woodbery on the grounds of being fraud suspects.
