Gonna try for my 3rd attempt at watching The Yellow Sea tomorrow@ thinking any Hollywood movie, boring-ass Inception in particular, could be called the best of the year in 2010, one of the GOAT years in Asian cinema.

It's more of a slow burn but it's still a classic. It's funny because most of the shyt you keep excusing Nolan for with Dunkirk (flat to no character development whatsoever) is handled exactly how it should be in The Yellow Sea, where the main character's drive and motivation is something extremely understated, yet still visible in all of his actions.
