Not as good as I thought it would be. I wonder what’s going on that got him half assing for money.
He literally said in an interview the reason for his tour and the special was because he needed money to pay for his divorce. Verbatim, they asked him why is he touring and doing a special and he said "i got divorced and I needed the money because s's I have to pay alimony and child support."

So basically I guessed right :takedat:

Katt Williams pretty much said the same things about him a few years ago. Folks didn't take it seriously
because it came from Katt.

So it makes sense that he hired this young white comic Bo Burnham to direct his Netflix special,
instead of a young brotha or sista.

Or that he "adopts" Amy Schumer (instead of someone like Tiffany Haddish) and directs her tv special. This is probably why he's lost his edge.

When did he adopt Amy? Because Rid didn't pop off till Girls Trip for most of us

Just watched this last night.

He seemed extremely subdued, that divorce has taken a lot out of him. That alimony and child support is no damn joke. The last 20/30 minutes were insightful and I'm sure talking about his divorce is therapy but it's obvious he's not the same man. Overall I wouldn't watch it again...

I thought it was good. I went thru losing a chick cuz I was a horrible boyfriend so I related to it. Honestly I like this over the new Chappelle joints besides the one he’s sitting down in

Mediocre. Didn't even chuckle in the first half but the second half was good.
Wouldn’t say it was mediocre but the second half was definitely better when he was talking about relationships and shyt.

I thought Chris's special was better than Dave's most recent one, and both were pretty decent to me, B level standups. The Coli won't like it but Kevin Hart's standups have been better quality. :yeshrug:

Yea chris will always be ranked ahead of dave on all time lists and rightfully so. Dave has maybe one classic special and that's killin em softly. He's never come close to that level since. Chris's body of work is much stronger than dave's.
