More than 15 years ago will made a decison to chase the money and go deep into the sci-fi genre. He tried forcing his son into the mainstream and his last few movies have been horrible.
He clearly went went for an oscar nod with concussion, it was an ok movie, but not great. I also feel that idris, cheadle and denzel are better black actors.
Will has to pick better roles... The only thing janet said that I disagree with is what happen with the fresh prince show, she should let that go.
But like she said hollywood can ostracized you very quick. Hollywood is another world, those white powerful jews dont give a damn about jada or will and will go with other prominent black actors over him for roles.

i have to admit a lot of black filmmakers do put out crappy ass movies (David Talbert,Tyler Perry,Lee Daniels,Will Packer) we have way too many rom coms and biopics and not enough original content/stories

I agree with you in principle..
The problem is BET and NAACP states that they are unapologetically Black.. They don't attempt to be mainstream or all inclusive..
I would respect the Oscar and Emmy process much more if they change the name to "The White Film Makers of America" or "The White Excellence Awards"...
